It's roots lie deep in Japanese culture and the spirit of the samurai warrior. Kendo originated a thousand years ago From Kenjutsu, an earlier ancestral form of swordsmanship using real swords on the battlefield and traces its origins back to Japan?s ancient martial culture. In 1952, The All Japan Kendo Federation was formed. Since then, Kendo has spread worldwide and has become international in scope. Mastery of kendo is achieved through repetition training in the basics and the practice of the ten Nihon Kendo Kata. These kata consist of two-man sets, which use techniques that have actually been tested in combat with real swords. These kata make use of the ancient techniques of Kenjutsu as adapted to modern Kendo. On this video you will see the ten kata of Kendo performed masterfully by members of The All Japan Kendo Federation. This rare instructional material shows you every detail of these kata and the correct way to perform each kata.<br /></div>Unknownnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1689749023464916192.post-87041953621349377222010-12-11T06:16:00.000-08:002010-12-11T06:19:05.955-08:00HwaRang Do®~Women's Self Defense<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgk6iNF6vOzPj_WlLt3M-cKIGS6TfX4kNSrIl_cT4xpO-qPYHMZU5f12zPPl5qKjcTvyQiibI2_VxOnGxA5Yd2plXWozoEj-dLDl1MfUHJwgkVmSQ7aIt4yc7_wXrK3_aHax-R76nBS8vjN/s1600/2ce699j.jpg"><img style="margin: 0pt 10px 10px 0pt; float: left; cursor: pointer; width: 133px; height: 210px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgk6iNF6vOzPj_WlLt3M-cKIGS6TfX4kNSrIl_cT4xpO-qPYHMZU5f12zPPl5qKjcTvyQiibI2_VxOnGxA5Yd2plXWozoEj-dLDl1MfUHJwgkVmSQ7aIt4yc7_wXrK3_aHax-R76nBS8vjN/s320/2ce699j.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5549428922039738290" border="0" /></a><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br />Unfortunately this tape has become more essential in today's society. In this one-of-a-kind video, Master Bladesmith Wally Hayes takes you step by step through the process of designing and building a Katana-Tac – a simplified tactical katana suitable for traditional martial arts practice or modern battlefield use. You will learn exactly how to design, profile, grind, temper, polish and haft your very own working katana using a minimum of tools and equipment. You will also learn some of the most closely guarded secrets of both traditional and modern-day swordmaking, including the construction of a low-cost charcoal forge and the exact process for Japanese-style clay tempering. Once your blade is properly tempered, Hayes teaches you how to polish it to reveal the hamon (temper line) and haft it with a traditional cord-wrapped handle.</div>Unknownnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1689749023464916192.post-60981399134749519932010-09-22T23:21:00.001-07:002010-09-22T23:22:30.807-07:00AJKF JODO<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg9PqGY3JhSicPGf4PNSpouTdchlSsMWE-FDPySTX1TIWo1gV_tfmrVo10ueayPDI5YqI0bBhH-xKYBqiwRIzjesCFcYZvCpAFmQI6A77R1aQuRag40kexnV9eu-vSPmj8E3mxol5hxtHHI/s1600/doq545.jpg"><img style="margin: 0pt 10px 10px 0pt; float: left; cursor: pointer; width: 186px; height: 300px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg9PqGY3JhSicPGf4PNSpouTdchlSsMWE-FDPySTX1TIWo1gV_tfmrVo10ueayPDI5YqI0bBhH-xKYBqiwRIzjesCFcYZvCpAFmQI6A77R1aQuRag40kexnV9eu-vSPmj8E3mxol5hxtHHI/s320/doq545.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5519990444575205250" border="0" /></a><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><div style="text-align: justify;">Jodo has roots in the Japanese martial arts that go back many years.
