Daito Ryu Aikibudo by Kenkichi Ohgami















Daito Ryu Aikijujutsu 8 dan, Kenkichi Ohgami was a student of Hisa Takuma, who was a top student of Sokaku Takeda. In this video Ohgami demonstrates a number of Daito Ryu waza.

Contents include:
* Seated techniques (suwariwaza)
* Standing techniques (tachiwaza)
* Seated techniques against a standing attacker (hanmi handachi)
* Weapons (bukidori)
* Multi person attack (taninzudori)
* Women's self defense
* Special: Ohgami demonstrates how to protect a piece of paper when an attacker grabs it. This interesting technique was said to be a favorite of Sokaku Takeda when he gave demonstrations.

Daito Ryu Aiki Jujutsu





















Daito-ryu Aiki jujutsu is a form of jujutsu, a system of unarmed fighting and minor weapons techniques to defeat both armed and unarmed opponents.

It is noted, as the name suggests, for emphasizing the principles of aiki (some aspects of aiki are also referred to as kuzushi). The Daito-ryu technical tradition includes both jujutsu and aikijujutsu, but a clear distinction is made between the two and the emphasis is strongly on the latter.

Combat Aikido with Jason Delucia Vols. 1-5


Jason Delucia is a superior grappler who has trained in Aikido, Pancrase Hybrid and Five Animal Kung Fu. Jason is a seasoned professional fighter and recenly won a "Shootbox" fight by a rear naked choke in round one. He has trained many professional mixed martial artists and continues to be consulted for fight training and pre-fight workouts. Jason was one of the first fighters to challenge Royce Gracie, a match that led to his invitation to fight professionally in Japan.

• Morihei Ueshiba: Demonstration of O-Sensei at a Commemorative Demonstration of the Johoku Branch dojo in 1962. Also features Nobuyoshi Tamura, Seiichi Sugano, Mitsunari Kanai, and Terry Dobson.
• Gozo Shioda: The founder of Yoshinkan Aikido gives an unforgettable demonstration for a film documentary shot in 1958. The top names of the early years of the Yoshinkan also appear including Kiyoyuki Terada, Shigeho Tanaka, Tadataka Matsuo, Kyoichi Inoue and Takashi Kushida. Full of fast-paced action!
• Koichi Tohei: A class and demonstration by the then Chief Instructor of the Aikikai Hombu Dojo for a team of American filmmakers in 1962. Tohei Sensei leads the class in “ki” exercises followed by an outstanding exhibition of free-style and randori techniques. He later went on to found his own style of aikido emphasizing his ki concepts. This is Koichi Tohei at his best!
• Kisshomaru Ueshiba: The late Doshu’s technique is noted for its soft, circular movements, and numerous Aikikai shihan have been influenced by his approach. He is seen here conducting a class and also demonstrates graceful free-style and multiple-attack techniques. This 1962 film offers a rare inside look at the Aikikai Hombu Dojo of the early 1960s. Lots of memorable action!
• Morihiro Saito: This is the famous NHK film documentary shot on location in Iwama in 1973. Saito Sensei was the Chief Instructor of the Iwama Dojo and Guardian of the Aiki Shrine from 1969 until his passing in 2002. The power and precision of the art of Saito Sensei is captured on film in vivid detail. His mastery of empty-handed and weapon techniques is legendary. The final action scene is classic!

Kogen Sugasawa instructs from the Nihon Denjujutsu Ikkajo series. Instructing 3 different levels of the art, Sugasawa shows jujutsu, aikijujutsu, and aiki no jutsu. Sugasawa's lineage is: Sokaku Takeda -- Takuma Hisa -- Kozui Tsuruyama -- Kogen Sugasawa.

Sugasawa is also a Judo 4th dan and has learned Yagyu Shinkage Ryu from Shiho Otsubo.
