KUKISHINDEN RYU HANBOJUTSU & SHIKOMI-ZUE

The hanbo (3 ft. staff) and the shikomi-zue (sword stick) are demonstrated as having something in common. The staff becoming the sword stick, the sword stick becoming the staff adds to the opponent's confusion. Three basic postures are explained through variations. The 11 techniques taken from the three levels of form: shoden, chuden & okuden, give step by step instruction firstly with the hanbo then the shikomi-zue varying on the themes of striking, locking, choking, throwing grabbing and dealing with armed assailants. The last part of the tape focuses on multiple attackers.
